Kirk' Skatecamp Comes to an End

BRANDON BOARDSLIDES AT SMS

We pulled a Neil Young on day 5 of skatecamp, burning out instead of fading away. Tears were finally shed, aches and pains became setbacks, yet the flame burned until the garage doors closed at 4:30. New tricks were landed, filmed and photographed, blood was shed and guest skater Ryan Gagner was a worthy final celeb.

After a heated session at SMS we hit the road for Manchester, the home turf of a few of our campers. The sun was out at the Manchester Wreck where Jake Gaudet won the flatbar comp. We then headed to a classic VT spot, Chris Waker's backdoor ramp. Jay Vallario completed a hard earned spine transfer.

Oh did I blow it today. Left Stratton without my camera battery! So sorry, especially in light of all the ripping that went down today. Guest Skater Jerry Tucker lit the fire early and kept it stoked all day. After a game of SKATE at SMS (won by new camper Brandon Corbessero), we hit Chester and Springfield's parks. Finn Shiely is officially possessed to skate and he tore around each park, learning new tricks as he went. Lots of cheers for mini-shred.
Jake Gaudet won the spine comp at Springfield, and Ryan Wads learned and filmed crowd-pleasing tricks.
